The Broadsword is a retired prototype trap that sends a single blast straight up. While not very efficient, all other traps are based on its design.
It is not able to be placed in-game. However, it may be seen in the Archineer Museum and in the cutscene of Lock, Tobias, and Isaiah fleeing the village, when Lock blows up the bridge.
