Clockwork Shielders are somewhat common enemies in the Clockwork Army. They are Clockworks that hold a shield and draw turret fire away from other clockworks. They do not attack, but they have high HP.
History[]
Clockwork Shielders make their first appeaeance at Foothill Cliffs. They make other appearances at Nomad Settlement, Deception Pass, Iceflo Taiga, Warren Forest, Well Cluster and Ironfist Quarry, assisting their fellow Clockworks in capturing Source Wells, as well as participating in various other objects.

Physical description[]
Clockwork Shielders have a similar appearance to Clockwork Soldiers and Clockwork Archers, but lack a blue eye and cape/hood respectively. They are small in size. They wield a large shield almost the same height and size as their bodies. The shield is colored yellow-orange, the same color as their armor. The shield also appears to have orange-red paint running down from the center.

- Shield: Shielders raise their shields to attract turret fire away from their allies.
Strategies and guides[]
- Enemy groups: Shielders commonly appear with Soldiers, Archers and Magicians.
- Turrets: Use 1 or 2 Basic Turrets, with a Burning Splash and Acid Bomb. This will help to damage other units, as Burning Splashes and Acid Bombs will always hit enemies within a radius.
- Traps: Use Acid Tripwires and Freeze Snares. This can help weaken Shielders as well as prevent them from attracting turret fire if possible.
- Special Attacks: Use a mix of the Attack Buff and Acid Touch. They are also useful enemies to sap health out of using the Vampire Drain when low on health.
- Super Attacks: Use the Lightning to deal damage towards Shielders and their large groups.

Silver Shielder[]
Shielders upgrade to Silver Shielders on at Shellrock Cape. Silver Shielders have increased health, and drop more Source.
Elite Shielder[]
Silver Shielders upgrade to Elite Shielders at Dark Ridge. Elite Shielders have increased health, and drop more Source.
Archineer Hall description[]
- A Clockwork Shielder is trained to draw enemy fire away from its allies. Though physically weak, they are extremely resilient against traps and turret fire.
