–Big Book of Turrets
The Goo Launcher is a turret that slows down enemies that it hits. Its effect is boosted by the Effect Helper.
In Lock's Quest, Lock can collect scrap pieces for the Goo Launcher at Seacrest Shores. In Lock's Quest (2017), the Goo Launcher is unlocked on Day 4.

Description[]
The Goo Launcher has a similar structure and base to the Basic Turret, but the cannons and top part are gone, and replaced with a cog that shoots purple goo. The body of the Goo Launcher is also colored purple.
Functions[]
When within range, the Goo Launcher fires balls of purple, sticky goo that gives the targeted enemies the Slow effect. The effect lasts for 3-4 seconds, but lasts longer if boosts by the Effect Helper.
Strategy and usefulness[]
As mentioned above, the Goo Launcher can slow down multiple enemies within a radius for around a short period of time. However, it does not deal any damage. Given this reason, the Goo Launcher should never be used alone; the best way to maximize the effect and usefulness is to build one inbetween a Basic Turret and Burning Splash.
The Goo Launcher is incredibly useful in maps like Northshore Fort, Foothill Cliffs, Nomad Settlement and Well Cluster. However, the Goo Launcher's usefulness will fall sharply once Lock collects enough scrap pieces to build the Freeze Snare, but can gain some effectiveness back once Lock collects enough Scrap Pieces to build the Effect Helper.

Biographies[]
Lock's Quest / Lock's Quest (2017)[]
- New turret description: "This turret slows down enemies for a short duration of time."
- Archineer Hall description: "This tower expels sticky goo that slow the advance of enemy units. This gives an archineer's other turrets more time to destroy their targets."
IGN Lock's Quest Guide[]
- "The Goo Launcher does not do damage to enemies. Instead, it spits out globs of goo that impact with enemies, and slows both their movement speed and attack speed down. This also causes a splash effect much like the Burning Splash, so all enemies within a certain radius of where the goo lands are affected. Due to its range, it can also be useful as a delaying tactic, though you should put it to the side of a Basic Turret or Burning Splash and not right in front of the point where Clockworks usually converge on. However, the overall use of the Goo Launcher falls sharply when you obtain the Freeze Snare Trap, but gains some use back when you get the Effect Helper."
